Melbourne venue launches Rockeoke with live band accompaniment

Rockeoke, a new weekly karaoke event, has launched at the Esplanade Hotel in St Kilda, Melbourne. The session distinguishes itself by providing participants with the accompaniment of a professional live band, regardless of their singing ability.

Approximately 36 singers participate each week in the free event, which runs for three hours every Saturday starting at 11pm. Performers can choose from a list of 65 songs, though the live band is known to attempt off-list requests. The initiative was inspired by the success of a previous karaoke session held at the venue.
