Meliá Hotels International announces new Roatán resort

Meliá Hotels International has signed a deal to develop Meliá Roatán, a new oceanfront resort on the Honduran Caribbean island. Scheduled to open in 2029, the project will operate under the company’s flagship Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand.

The development will feature 350 hotel rooms and suites alongside 145 branded residences. This residential component is designed to allow owners to combine homeownership with hotel management and access to brand services.

Planned amenities for the tropical-style resort include a beach club, multiple dining concepts, a spa, wellness facilities, retail spaces, and meeting areas. The project follows the company’s recent incorporation of the Media Luna Resort & Beach Club into its Affiliated by Meliá network.
