Meliá Hotels to launch luxury Collection brand in Rome by 2027

Meliá Hotels International has announced a strategic agreement with Italian investment and real estate group Gruppo Stay to open its first ultra-luxury boutique hotel, The Meliá Collection, in Rome in 2027.

Located on Via XX Settembre near Via Veneto, the property will feature 67 exclusive rooms and suites. The hotel is planned to include high-end gastronomy, a wellness area, and a panoramic rooftop bar. The project will operate under a franchise model, supporting Meliá’s asset-light growth strategy.

This marks the third collaboration between Meliá and Gruppo Stay, following previous projects in the Dolomites. With this addition, Meliá’s presence in Italy will grow to 19 establishments, including both operational and developing properties.
