The Melikgazi Municipality has concluded its annual Salça Günleri event, which saw record participation this year. According to Mayor Mustafa Palancıoğlu, 4,480 families utilized the services provided during the event.

For 1.5 months, the municipality operated 24-hour services across three different regions, including Mimarsinan Mahallesi Evliyalar Parkı, Kocatepe, and Selçuklu. The operation was managed by approximately 100 personnel working in three shifts.

To support local families in making tomato paste, the municipality provided several free services and supplies, including copper cauldrons, salt, washing, and grinding. Additionally, tomatoes, peppers, and firewood were available for purchase on-site. The event, which has been held for eight years, aims to strengthen social bonds and community solidarity within the region.
