Melikgazi Municipality renovates pedestrian walkways in Kayseri

Melikgazi Municipality is undertaking a pedestrian walkway renovation project in the center of Kayseri. The project covers 2,100 meters in length and 7,500 square meters of area, specifically targeting Millet Street and Nazmi Toker Street.

Workers are replacing old, slippery yellow stones with basalt stones to improve safety and aesthetics. To minimize disruption to local businesses and pedestrians, construction work is being carried out primarily during night hours. Melikgazi Mayor Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated that the project aims to create a more functional pedestrian axis and prevent slipping hazards.
