Melilla Ciudad del Deporte La Salle defeated Unicaja Mijas 86-67 in the III Memorial Javier Imbroda, marking the first preseason game for the Melilla-based team for the 2026-27 season.

Melilla established control during the second quarter, driven by the performance of Anne Senosiain and Jessie Edwards. While Savannah Samuel provided offensive resistance for Unicaja Mijas, defensive lapses and scoring difficulties in the third quarter prevented a comeback. The match served as a preview of the upcoming Liga Femenina Challenge season, where the two teams will compete against each other.

Melilla's roster features eight new additions, though Elena Moreno was unavailable due to her call-up for the Spanish U23 3x3 national team. The team is scheduled to continue its preseason tour with matches against Innova-tsn Leganés and Baloncesto Alcobendas in Madrid, followed by a return visit to Málaga in late September.
