Melilla Film Commission promotes tax incentives in Madrid

The Melilla Film Commission has launched a new promotional campaign in Madrid to attract film, series, and television productions to the autonomous city. The initiative features a new promotional spot produced by Makin DOC & FILM and highlights a competitive package of fiscal incentives designed to position Melilla as a premier audiovisual destination.

Key financial incentives include a 60% rebate on Corporate Tax, a 60% deduction on Personal Income Tax (IRPF), and a 75% reduction in Social Security contributions. These benefits are available to national production companies registered with the ICAA, as well as international productions utilizing the ‘service’ model through Spanish or European companies with a permanent establishment in Spain.

To qualify, productions must pass the European Cultural Test and undergo a cost audit upon completion. Minimum spending requirements are set at one million euros for general productions and 200,000 euros for animation and visual effects (VFX).
