Melilla political group denounces lack of transparency in Feria bullfighting organization

Amín Azmani, president of Somos Melilla, has criticized the local government of Melilla for a perceived lack of transparency and planning regarding the bullfighting event scheduled for the 2026 Feria de Melilla.

Azmani, a deputy in the city, noted that despite the festivities being less than twenty days away, the administration led by Juan José Imbroda has not officially released the event's lineup, costs, or administrative contracting procedures. While names of bullfighters such as Manuel Escribano, Emilio de Justo, and Marco Pérez have circulated publicly since July, the government has yet to provide an official presentation or promotional actions. Azmani questioned the criteria and administrative processes used to select the participants, arguing that as an annual event, the organization should have been planned well in advance.
