Melina announces she will not return to professional wrestling

Former WWE champion Melina has stated she has no intention of returning to the wrestling ring. During a TikTok Q&A session, the veteran performer explained that she no longer possesses the necessary hunger required to compete at a high level.

Melina, a three-time WWE Women’s Champion and two-time Divas Champion, noted that she does not want to disappoint fans by performing without the drive that makes the sport compelling to watch. While she expressed a continued love for being around the industry and watching matches, she indicated her preference for talking and other activities over active competition.

Melina debuted in the WWE in 2005 and was released from the company in 2011. Her most recent major appearance was in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble, though she has made sporadic appearances on programming and competed on the independent circuit more recently.
