Melis Sandal faces Turkish financial investigation amid fund allegations

Melis Sandal, wife of Turkish singer Mustafa Sandal, is at the center of a major financial investigation led by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The probe concerns suspicious transactions involving investment funds. While initial reports suggested she withdrew 11.1 billion Turkish lira, updated figures indicate the amount may reach nearly 16 billion lira. Melis Sandal has denied these allegations through her legal team, stating that the reported figures are inaccurate and that her international transfers are legal and related to real estate purchases.

Separately, Suzana Jovanović has spoken publicly about the passing of her husband, Saša Popović. Reflecting on their life and accumulated wealth, she emphasized that material possessions hold no value in the face of illness and death. She noted that despite being able to afford high-quality medical care in France, money could not provide a cure, describing the experience as a profound sense of helplessness.
