Melissa Gemini wins gold at Mediterranean Games

Boxer Melissa Gemini has won a gold medal in the 75 kg category at the Mediterranean Games held in Taranto. A member of the Fiamme Azzurre, Gemini secured her victory after a challenging final match, winning on the ring in the second round.

The city of Viterbo has expressed great pride in her achievement. Mayor Chiara Frontini congratulated the athlete, noting that her success serves as an example of commitment and sacrifice for local youth. Local sports official Emanuele Aronne also praised the result, announcing that Gemini will be invited to the ‘Giocavamo pe’ Strada’ event on September 19 and 20 to celebrate with her fellow citizens.
