Mellanskog reports increased delivery volumes in Q2

Mellanskog reported stable results for the second quarter, with an operating profit of 15 million SEK and a profit before tax of 55 million SEK. While delivery volumes increased, the results were pressured by lower timber prices and the logistical demands of managing large volumes of wood following Storm Johannes.

Delivery volumes from the company’s own field operations rose by 20 percent compared to the same period last year. In areas affected by the storm, delivery volumes increased by approximately 60 percent. To manage these volumes, Mellanskog has increased its staff, machine capacity, and logistics resources. More than half of the storm-felled timber has now been processed.

Revenue and delivery volumes also grew due to the formation of a group with Setra, which has given Mellanskog consolidated responsibility for raw material supply. Additionally, efficiency efforts helped reduce costs by 16 million SEK compared to the same quarter in 2025.
