Melodic Death Metal Bands NOUMENA and DEADLOCK Release New Singles

Finnish melodic death‑metal band NOUMENA issued its third single “Tyhjyys” from the forthcoming album Maanääri, accompanied by a music video. The track continues the album’s historic theme, depicting 18th‑century Finnish turmoil under Russian occupation, and follows earlier releases “Kuolemankello” and “Surunkehrä”.

German melodic death‑metal group DEADLOCK returned with a new line‑up and the song “Persephone Is Dead”, released as a video and heralding a forthcoming album and live shows. The single reinterprets the Greek myth of Persephone to portray a world where nature’s cycles are shattered, referencing Ovid’s Metamorphoses. Both bands highlighted future plans: NOUMENA’s album scheduled for August 2026, and DEADLOCK’s 30‑year anniversary and tenth long‑player slated for 2027.
