Melody issues public apology following attitude controversy

Taiwanese entertainer Melody has issued a public apology following allegations regarding her professional attitude. The controversy began when a lawyer claimed that during a radio interview years ago, Melody’s demeanor shifted abruptly from enthusiastic to cold once the recording concluded, telling the guest, “Okay, you can go now.”

In response, Melody released a video on social media using self-deprecating humor to address the situation. She acknowledged that her personal way of expressing herself has sometimes caused discomfort to others and stated, “I know I still have many areas where I need to improve, and I have many blind spots that I cannot see.”

While her management company attributed the past incident to communication issues during a tight live broadcast schedule, other industry colleagues have offered differing perspectives. One collaborator described Melody as maintaining a “faintly elegant politeness” rather than being overtly warm, noting that her focused and professional demeanor can sometimes be misinterpreted as being distant or unfriendly by those unfamiliar with her working style.
