MELTY BLOOD: TWI-LUMINA set for April 2027 release

MELTY BLOOD: TWI-LUMINA, a 2D fighting game based on the TYPE-MOON universe, is scheduled for release on April 22, 2027. The title will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, and Steam.

Showcased at Tokyo Game Show 2026, the game introduces two distinct control systems: ‘Act’ and ‘Duel’. The ‘Act’ system allows players to perform complex combos and special moves through simple button presses, making the game more accessible to newcomers. The ‘Duel’ system maintains traditional command inputs for experienced players.

Featured characters include Ren, Shiki Tohno, Arcueid Brunestud, Ciel, Neco-Arc, Mikhail Roa Valdamjong, and Mash Kyrielight from Fate/Grand Order. The game also features a new ‘Gauntlet’ mechanic, a universal dash attack used to counter opponents, and a ‘WATCH’ mode in Versus Mode that allows players to observe CPU battles at adjustable difficulty levels.
