Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina to release April 2027

The upcoming 2D fighting game, ‘Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina’, based on the ‘Tsukihime’ universe, is scheduled for release on April 22, 2027. The title will be available on Switch 2, Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Steam.

At Tokyo Game Show 2026, the game featured its first playable demo, highlighting a new control system called ‘Act’. Unlike the traditional ‘Duel’ mode which requires complex command inputs, ‘Act’ allows players to perform combos simply by tapping a single button. This system is designed to make the game more accessible to players who are not experienced with fighting game mechanics.

During gameplay, players can switch between different buttons to alter combo types, such as launching opponents into the air or pushing them horizontally across the ground. The game also includes a ‘Grand Scenario Mode’ with a story written by Kinoko Nasu.
