Meme coins see volatility driven by new projects and pop culture

Meme coins continue to influence the cryptocurrency market through viral momentum and community engagement. Analysts are currently monitoring various projects, including established names like Pepe, Floki, Dogwifhat, and Shiba Inu, as well as emerging tokens such as Apeing ($APEING), which is gaining attention due to its upcoming presale and community-focused development model.

In a separate instance of market volatility driven by pop culture, several unofficial meme coins named after Pitbull’s upcoming album, ‘Pitcoin’, surged by approximately 100% on August 25. These tokens are not endorsed by the artist or his label. The price spike followed the announcement of the album title, which the performer is scheduled to release in early October. While some versions of the ‘Pitcoin’ token saw significant trading volume on networks like Solana and Robinhood’s chain, the artist’s official promotional activities remain focused on music platforms rather than cryptocurrency launches.
