Memorial Giri-Fiscella Sand Volley Tournament Returns to Mantignana

The thirteenth edition of the mixed 3×3 sand‑volleyball tournament "In campo per Claudio e Franco – Memorial Giri‑Fiscella" will be held on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August at the Obeya Beach sports centre in Mantignana, Umbria. The event honors former players Claudio Giri and, for the fourth time, Franco Fiscella, and brings together professionals, veterans and amateurs.

The tournament is organised by the Claudio Giri Onlus association in collaboration with Pianeta Volley. All proceeds are pledged to the Fondazione Airc, which funds cancer‑research projects. Registration remains open until Thursday 30 July at 14:00, after which the official draw will be published. The competition has been the longest‑running sand‑volleyball fixture in Umbria and continued even during the COVID‑19 pandemic.

Local sponsors—including Bartoccini Gioiellerie, Gruppo Grifo Agroalimentare, Spazio Conad, Terre Margaritelli and Vetunna—support the event, which also features a renovated sand arena with additional facilities such as a jacuzzi pool.
