Memphis and Graham Host Back-to-School Supply Events

Community organizations in Memphis and the broader Mid‑South are launching a series of free back‑to‑school events as the new school year approaches. The Regional One Health Community Back‑to‑School Fair on July 18 will provide school supplies, backpacks, uniforms (while stocks last), health resources and connections to local services. Additional activities include a Back‑to‑School Bash at Tanger Outlets Southaven and a Food‑Truck Festival at Shelby Farms Park on July 25, all aimed at easing the financial burden on families.

In Graham, North Carolina, McRae’s Barbershop will hold a Back‑to‑School Cookout & Backpack Giveaway on August 8. Attendees can receive free backpacks, enjoy complimentary food, music and family‑friendly activities, and learn how to donate additional backpacks before the event. Both initiatives seek to help students start the academic year with essential materials and to link families with ongoing community support.
