Memphis chair from Wuppertal featured on ‘Bares für Rares’

A teacher from Wuppertal, Katrin, brought an uncomfortable but rare Memphis chair designed by Michele De Lucchi to the ZDF antiques show ‘Bares für Rares’. Although the Italian-made chair was in poor condition with broken parts and scratches, expert Detlef Kümmel noted its sculptural value.

While the seller hoped for 500 euros, experts estimated a realistic value between 400 and 450 euros due to the item's condition. The segment featured negotiations with dealers regarding the piece's worth.
