Memur-Sen launches school construction project for Gaza

The Memur-Sen confederation has introduced the ‘A School in Gaza, Thousands of Hopes’ project, a joint donation campaign aimed at rebuilding educational infrastructure in Gaza. The initiative seeks to support children deprived of education due to ongoing Israeli attacks.

During the launch at the Memur-Sen headquarters in Ankara, General President Ali Yalçın stated that Gaza urgently requires at least 80 schools and 500 classrooms. Yalçın emphasized that the mission is not merely about constructing buildings, but about restoring hope and providing a future for children whose homes and schools have been destroyed.

The event was attended by the Palestinian Ambassador to Ankara, Nasri Abu Jaish, along with various civil society leaders. Yalçın noted that the project aims to protect the memory of the Palestinian people and ensure children have the opportunity to write their own stories through education.
