Men arrested for murdering wives in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh domestic attacks

In Thane district, Maharashtra, 21‑year‑old Satish Kaluram Waghe was arrested after allegedly killing his 20‑year‑old wife Sarika by smashing a television set on her head and striking her with a water container during a dispute. Police booked him under the murder provision of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and sent the body for post‑mortem.

In Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, Aas Mohammad was taken into custody for allegedly strangling his 35‑year‑old wife Ishrat after suspecting an extra‑marital affair, reportedly after seeing her with a youth inside their home. The case is also under investigation and the body has been sent for post‑mortem examination.
