Mendata celebrates San Miguel festivities with colorful parades

The town of Mendata is celebrating its San Miguel festivities, marking the beginning of the autumn season. A highlight of the event was the ‘Day of the Clowns,’ where participants dressed as various cartoon characters, including Minions, The Simpsons, and Doraemon, marched through the streets accompanied by the Sama Siku fanfare.

The celebrations included an abarka throwing competition, which saw participation from both children and adults. The festivities also featured traditional activities such as tortilla and mus competitions.
