Mendoza and Neuquén launch financing initiatives for SMEs
Regional governments in Argentina are introducing various initiatives to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and local entrepreneurs.
In Mendoza, the Ministry of Production has launched new financing lines aimed at stimulating provincial economic development. These credits are intended for investment and working capital, targeting sectors such as commerce, industry, logistics, horticulture, and energy efficiency. To lower barriers to traditional banking, the program includes interest rate subsidies and utilizes the Cuyo Aval guarantee fund to assist cooperatives and SMEs in meeting credit requirements.
In Neuquén, authorities are promoting local production through events like the 'Tienda de Sabores' fair. Economy Minister Guillermo Koenig highlighted the province's commitment to helping entrepreneurs transition from small ideas into established business units. Support in Neuquén is provided through various institutions, including IADeP, Centro PyME ADENEU, and the Banco de la Provincia del Neuquén, with IADeP having issued over 5,000 credits to date.
