Mendoza distributes Starlink antennas to rural producers

The Mendoza provincial government has distributed 18 Starlink satellite antennas to producers in the Valle de Uco region to improve rural connectivity. This initiative, part of the Plan Fundación Conecta, aims to bridge the digital divide in remote areas where traditional telecommunications infrastructure is limited.

By providing satellite internet, the program enables agricultural and livestock producers to access weather information, manage digital platforms, perform administrative tasks, and utilize new technologies in their operations. This is particularly vital for the economic activities of the region, such as viticulture and farming.

To date, the provincial program has distributed approximately 722 to 730 Starlink antennas across various points in Mendoza, including high-mountain areas in Malargüe and parts of San Rafael, to support the modernization of the local productive sectors.
