Mendoza expects water volumes to more than double this season

Mendoza is expected to experience a significant increase in water availability this season, with the Mendoza River volume estimated at 1,800 hectometers, more than double the previous year's 800 hectometers.

Officials from the Departamento General de Irrigación noted that high snow accumulation in the mountains has led to expectations of a wet season across most basins. Despite this improvement, authorities warned that the increase does not signal the end of the drought. They emphasized the continued need for water conservation, improved efficiency, and infrastructure development to ensure future availability.
