Mendoza hosts free tribute blending Charly García’s rock with visual art exhibition

On Saturday, July 18, 2024, Mendoza’s Sala Elina Alba will present a free tribute concert at 21:00 that merges rock music and visual arts. The event is part of the "Sea of Pleasure" exhibition by Japanese autistic artist Minga Yuma Lohman, who arrived from Japan with her mother to show her textile‑based works.

Mendoza musicians will reinterpret songs linked to Argentine legend Charly García and New York graffiti artist Fran Powers, whose street art inspired the iconic album cover of Clics Modernos. The ensemble includes pianist Nicolás Diez, bassist Luca Moscetta, guitarist Leandro Lacerna and vocalists Alejandro Rodríguez and Florencia Scarpetta, with a special appearance by Chilean guitarist Kiuge Hayashida, a longtime member of García’s band.
