Mendoza hosts Tango por los Caminos del Vino festival
The Tango por los Caminos del Vino festival took place from 19 to 24 September 2026 across the Mendoza province in Argentina. The six-day event integrated tango performances, classes, and milongas with the region's wine tourism infrastructure, including wineries and cultural venues.
The festival commenced at the Teatro Independencia in Mendoza city with a concert titled ‘Entre Cantores’, featuring the Mendoza Philharmonic Orchestra. Subsequent events were held in various cultural spaces and wine estates throughout the province, including performances by the Albertina Crescitelli Ensemble, Cuarteto de Guitarras Ecos, the Tito Francia Guitar Orchestra, and La Mundial Orkestra.
In addition to formal concerts, the ‘Circuito Milonguero’ provided tango classes and social dancing in Mendoza city, Godoy Cruz, and Chacras de Coria. The festival utilized the Mendoza Wine Route, which spans the central area, the east, the Uco Valley, and the south, to link musical programming with the geography of the region's vineyards and winery museums.
