Mendoza launches student contest to combat bullying

The Dirección General de Escuelas (DGE) in Mendoza has launched ‘Mendoza no bulinea’, a provincial contest designed to combat bullying and cyberbullying through student-led creative content. Aimed at second, third, and fourth-year students in secondary and technical schools, the initiative encourages adolescents to become active defenders of a healthy school environment.

Participants use the FlexFlix educational platform to complete individual activities before moving into collaborative group work. Students are tasked with creating audiovisual productions, such as videos or audio messages, to raise awareness among their peers about the consequences of harassment. Carina Gannam, Director of School Support, noted that the program promotes teamwork as a key preventive measure.

The competition timeline includes individual work and group production through mid-October. Submissions must be received by October 13, followed by an evaluation period by a provincial committee. Winners, including recognition for specific schools by department, are scheduled to be announced on October 26.
