Mendoza nears full territorial planning coverage
The province of Mendoza is nearing a historic milestone in territorial management, with nearly all of its municipalities now possessing territorial planning plans. The recent definitive approval of the Municipal Territorial Planning Plan (PMOT) in Malargüe leaves only the department of La Paz as the remaining district without such a framework.
Matías Dalla Torre, the provincial Director of Territorial Planning, stated that technical surveys have been completed in collaboration with the municipality of La Paz. The final step required to complete the provincial coverage is the implementation of citizen validation workshops. The provincial Subsecretariat of Infrastructure and Territorial Development is currently working with local authorities to initiate this participatory phase.
The approval in Malargüe follows an extensive process aimed at guiding sustainable growth through the year 2050, seeking to harmonize economic development with territorial management.
