Mendoza Prosecutor requests new forensic building due to facility decay

Alejandro Gullé, the Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of Justice of Mendoza, has presented the 2027 budget projections for the Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) to the Legislature. A primary institutional priority identified is the construction of a new building for the Forensic Medical Corps and the judicial morgue.

Gullé cited severe structural deterioration and a lack of space in current facilities as the main drivers for the request. He reported issues including roof leaks, collapsed pipes, and insufficient room to house modern scientific evidence technology. The proposed global budget for the MPF is approximately $113 billion, intended to maintain existing structures and increase investment in technological areas for criminal investigations.
