Mendoza Province dismisses two school custodians and revises police promotion decree

The government of Mendoza Province formalized disciplinary dismissals of two school custodians for repeated unjustified absences. One custodian at the Escuela Artística Francisco Solano was dismissed after 27 unauthorized absences between 2023 and 2024, while a second custodian at the Escuela Artística Blanca Notti was removed after 88 absences dating back to 2019. Both actions were issued through provincial resolutions that are part of a broader package of sanctions against public‑sector employees.

In a separate move, the provincial administration corrected decree No. 1199, which regulates promotions within the Mendoza Police. The amendment, requested by the Directorate of Human Capital and the Ministry of Security’s legal advisory, clarifies the required years of service and other eligibility criteria for ranks such as Comisario General, Comisario Inspector and Comisario. The correction is applied retroactively, ensuring that future promotions follow the clarified rules.
