Mendoza Province Passes Law to Grant Students Certified Work Experience

The government of Mendoza sent a bill to the provincial legislature to create the "Programa de Entrenamiento Laboral Certificado Estudiantil" (Enlace Estudiantil). The program will allow university and secondary‑school students to undertake supervised internships in companies and public institutions while still studying, aiming to close the gap between academic training and the skills demanded by the labour market.

Proponents say the initiative will give young Mendocinos practical experience, improve their employability and help private sector firms obtain better‑qualified graduates. The legislation seeks to establish a permanent legal framework for expanding practical training opportunities and accelerating the design and execution of workplace placements across the province.
