Mendoza Stock Exchange promotes capital market access for SMEs

The Bolsa de Comercio de Mendoza (BCM) held a meeting during World Investor Week to discuss financing options for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through capital markets. The event brought together provincial and municipal government officials, guarantee companies (SGRs), and financial agents.

Santiago Pérez Araujo, director of the BCM, noted that while the capital market offers alternatives to traditional credit, many SMEs remain unaware of how to issue securities. He emphasized that a lack of knowledge regarding these financial paths can result in higher costs due to interest rate differentials.
