Mendoza Students' Shadowfox Team Wins FIRST Tech Challenge in Mexico

The Shadowfox team, composed of Mendoza high‑school students from the Instituto Tomás Alva Edison, captured the Winning Alliance at the Premier Event of the FIRST Tech Challenge Mexico. In addition to the championship, the alliance placed second in the Innovate Award, recognizing the robot’s creativity and technical solution.

Argentina’s six‑team delegation also earned other honors: RBK7 took the Judge’s Choice Award and Merinitos secured second place in the Design Award. The success was highlighted by the Foundation Tomás Alva Edison’s Probot School program, which mentors the participants. Foundation president Graciela Bertancud said, “We want to demonstrate the talent of Mendoza and Argentina, and this championship shows our youth can compete at the highest international level.”
