Mendrisio earns two points in opening Prima Lega matches

Mendrisio has secured two points from its first two matches in the Prima Lega. The team has been forced to play its opening games away from home due to ongoing renovations of the locker rooms at the Comunale stadium.

In their most recent match against Widnau, Mendrisio earned a 1-1 draw. Riccardo Rossini scored a long-distance goal to give the team the lead, but a penalty conceded in the final fifteen minutes allowed the opposition to equalize. Rossini expressed satisfaction with the start of the season despite the difficulty of playing away, noting that the current schedule is a sacrifice that will eventually allow the team to utilize their new facilities.
