Prime Video confirms second season of Menem biographical series

Prime Video has confirmed a second season of the biographical series ‘Menem’, which explores the life and political career of former Argentine President Carlos Saúl Menem. The new installment is expected to premiere in 2027.

Directed by Ariel Winograd, the upcoming season will focus on Menem’s second presidential term between 1995 and 1999. The narrative will highlight a period characterized by political exhaustion, increasing media pressure, and the intersection of politics with celebrity culture. Key themes include the decline of his public image alongside the economy, as well as his high-profile lifestyle involving Ferraris and international celebrities.

Leonardo Sbaraglia will return to lead the cast in the role of Menem, with Juan Minujín also reprising his role. The production will continue to feature the character Olegario, the president’s photographer and confidant, and will address the impact of the death of Carlos Menem Jr.
