Menemen Plastik İhtisas OSB submits new zoning plan

The Menemen Plastik İhtisas Organize Sanayi Bölgesi (MPİOSB) has submitted a revised zoning plan to the Ministry of Industry and Technology. The new plan aims to add approximately 220,000 square meters of investment space within the existing boundaries of the industrial zone without purchasing additional land.

According to Board Chairman Salih Esen, the revision follows the Ministry’s October 2025 zoning specifications. The expansion includes 60,000 square meters of new industrial parcels, over 100,000 square meters for service and support areas, and more than 60,000 square meters for commercial use. The plan also incorporates education and sports areas.

MPİOSB, which focuses on the plastic sector, has historically utilized a unique financing model where participating industrialists fund infrastructure projects directly. The zone currently employs approximately 2,500 people and generates $250 million in exports.
