Menorca launches shared electronic health records for residential care

Authorities in Menorca have launched a shared electronic health record system for users in both public and private residential care facilities. The initiative, presented by Balearic Health Minister Manuela García and Menorca Council President Adolfo Vilafranca, aims to provide healthcare and social service personnel with a unified, real-time view of a resident's medical and social evolution.

By integrating clinical information systems through the NEXA interoperability platform, staff can access daily clinical assessments and care plans. This integration ensures that healthcare providers from the Health Service can view data from residential centers, facilitating better decision-making and continuity of care for dependent individuals.
