Menorca leaders call for administrative reform and economic pact

President Flora Prohens addressed concerns regarding increasing administrative bureaucracy, which has caused uncertainty and delays for citizens and businesses. She stated that authorities are working to reduce redundant steps and streamline the process for obtaining licenses and permits, potentially through a single-window system.

Local experts and business leaders have also called for a cross-party agreement to prevent the island from following a specific regional development model. They emphasize that a shared vision spanning multiple legislative terms is necessary to address critical issues such as water, energy, and technological integration, moving beyond ideological divides to ensure long-term stability.
