Menorca serves as a retreat for Risto Mejide and Natalia Almarcha
Presenter Risto Mejide and Natalia Almarcha have been vacationing on the island of Menorca, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The couple has sought refuge in the island's natural landscapes, characterized by volcanic scenery, coastal paths, and a slower pace of life.
A central feature of the island is the Camí de Cavalls, a 185-kilometer coastal path originally used for maritime surveillance. The trail spans twenty stages, traversing forests, ravines, beaches, and cliffs, including notable locations such as the Favàritx lighthouse, Cala Morell, and the dunes of Son Bou.
Menorca's landscape is protected for its ecological value, encompassing wetlands and agricultural lands alongside its famous coves. The island's urban centers, Ciutadella and Maó, reflect its historical heritage, including traces of British rule from the 18th century.
