Mental health awareness initiatives launched for World Mental Health Day

In observance of World Mental Health Day, various initiatives are being launched to promote awareness and reduce social stigma surrounding mental health disorders.

In Italy, L'Alba Associazione APS is organizing a day of awareness and prevention featuring a march through local streets, musical performances, and a conference titled “Prevention, Diagnosis and Rehabilitation in Mental Health: Peer Support.” The event aims to engage schools and local institutions in discussions regarding mental health support.

Additionally, the National Register Commission of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Technicians is spearheading the “All the Voices of Green” project. From October 5 to 10, the campaign encourages professionals and the public to wear green items to spark conversations about mental health. The initiative highlights the critical role of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Technicians (TeRP) in helping individuals with psychiatric disorders regain autonomy, manage daily life, and reintegrate into work and social relationships.
