Mental health crises reported in Umán and Colonia Morelos

Two separate incidents involving mental health crises and suicide attempts have been reported in Mexico.

In Umán, a 12-year-old girl died at her residence. Local authorities and emergency services responded to the scene, where the Fiscalía General del Estado and the Servicio Médico Forense conducted investigations. Unofficial reports suggest the minor was experiencing depression linked to family complications.

In Colonia Morelos, a 67-year-old woman survived a second suicide attempt after ingesting a large amount of clonazepam. Family members discovered her unconscious and summoned emergency responders. She was transported to Clinic 9 of the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social for medical observation. Authorities noted her condition was related to depression stemming from previous health issues.
