Mental health experts address relationship crises and stress management

Psychological experts are highlighting the impact of seasonal changes and daily pressures on mental and relational health. In Spain, specialists at El Taller Emocional note a rise in relationship crises during the summer months. This is often attributed to intensified coexistence, disrupted routines, and heightened expectations for shared enjoyment. Experts suggest that traditional attempts to resolve these conflicts—such as excessive talking or seeking constant agreement—can sometimes reinforce negative relational patterns rather than solving them.

In Argentina, clinical psychologists warn about the physiological consequences of stress. Dr. Susana Amodeo Escribano of the Hospital Universitario Fundación Jiménez Díaz explains that stress occurs when an individual perceives a threat that exceeds their coping abilities. Acute stress can trigger allergic reactions, gastrointestinal issues, and blood pressure fluctuations, while chronic stress can damage the cardiovascular, endocrine, and immune systems, as well as affect memory and cognition.
