Menteşe hosts “Anadolu’da Kadın Başları” painting exhibition

The “Anadolu’da Kadın Başları” (Women's Heads in Anatolia) painting exhibition has opened at the Konakaltı İskender Alper Cultural Center, organized by the Menteşe Municipality. The exhibition features artworks depicting women from various regions and cultural backgrounds, aiming to highlight Anatolia's cultural richness and the essential role of women in society.

The opening ceremony was attended by Menteşe Deputy Mayor Sami Tomurcuklu and Muğla Artists Association President Sadettin Özbek. Tomurcuklu emphasized the importance of the exhibition in preserving traditional and cultural values. Özbek noted that art serves as a vital tool alongside education in conveying Republican values and highlighted that the works represent women not only from Anatolia but also from diverse geographies ranging from Africa to China.

During the event, the legacy of Nail Çakırhan, the center's namesake, was also commemorated.
