Mentone farming enterprise to be auctioned in New South Wales

Mentone, an 893-hectare (2207-acre) mixed farming and grazing enterprise located in the Purlewaugh district of New South Wales, is scheduled for auction by Elders on September 17.

Situated on the fringe of the Liverpool Plains, the property is approximately 46km southeast of Coonabarabran and 21km from Premer. The land consists of 16 freehold titles and is roughly 75 per cent arable. The basalt and red basalt soils are suited for dryland cropping and livestock production.

Key features include an established 800-head sheep feedlot with expansion potential to 1600 head, new Westonfence exclusion fencing, and reliable water sources including a new bore, reticulation system, dams, and frontage to Saltwater Creek. Infrastructure includes cattle handling facilities, machinery and hay sheds, and portable accommodation.
