Meny named Denmark’s best supermarket for second year

Meny has been named Denmark’s best supermarket for the second consecutive year according to the Loyalty Group BrancheIndex 2026 report. The survey, which gathered feedback from 4,255 grocery customers, indicates that Meny leads in six out of nine categories, including customer trust, organic products, service quality, and product quality.

While price remains a major concern for consumers, Meny’s focus on service, trained staff, and high-quality assortment has secured its top position. Rema 1000 follows closely, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and leading in brand image despite its discount model.

In contrast, discount chains such as 365discount and Netto faced challenges in the survey. Experts noted that while discount retailers compete heavily on price, maintaining high service levels can be difficult due to the high costs of staff training and industry turnover rates.
