MenzGold founder NAM1 scheduled for July 17 cross‑examination in Ghana trial
The Accra High Court in Ghana has adjourned the cross‑examination of Nana Appiah Mensah, the founder of MenzGold Ghana Limited and known as NAM1, to Friday, 17 July 2026. The date follows the completion of a Case Management Conference and the filing of NAM1’s witness statement, which the court had ordered in 2024 but was only submitted on 13 July 2026.
NAM1 faces charges of defrauding by false pretence, operating an unlicensed gold‑dealership business and money‑laundering. He has pleaded not guilty and remains on bail. The trial stems from the collapse of MenzGold, which left thousands of customers unable to access their investments and seeking refunds. The court expects the cross‑examination to continue on the set date.
