Meoqui Mayor leads school cleaning initiative

Miriam Soto, the Mayor of Meoqui, led a collaborative cleaning initiative at the Antón Makarenko elementary school. The operation was a response to a request made by the school's Parents' Association during the “Miércoles con tu Alcaldesa” program.

Approximately 80 participants, including municipal government staff, temporary employment workers, and parents, worked together to remove nearly two tons of weeds and trash from the campus. The mayor and her cabinet joined the efforts personally to demonstrate the importance of community cooperation. Local school officials and the Parents' Association expressed gratitude for the rapid response and the administration's commitment to improving school infrastructure and cleanliness.
