Meoqui Mayor Miriam Soto delivers fifth government report

Miriam Soto Ornelas, the mayor of Meoqui, Chihuahua, delivered her fifth government report detailing the results of her five-year administration. The report focused on public works, security, rural development, education, health, and the economy.

In terms of infrastructure, the municipal government reported an investment of nearly 200 million pesos, coordinated with the Municipal Water and Sanitation Board. This funding facilitated the intervention of over 140 streets, including 56 new roads and 13 rehabilitated ones. Key projects included the modernization of the Paseo Zaragoza commercial corridor with an 11.87 million peso investment and the renovation of 23 kilometers of the Meoqui-Julimes highway, benefiting over 50,000 residents.

Additional infrastructure achievements included the construction of 97 bedrooms and eight school roofs in various communities, as well as improvements to the Bugambilias pumping station. In the agricultural sector, the administration reported an investment exceeding 70 million pesos to support more than 500 producers.
